Last saturday Till and I were lucky to have a babysitter so we could spend the day in Amsterdam, just the 2 of us (dankje Jitske!). It was SO nice! Amsterdam is not the kind of city where you voluntarely bring 3 little ones. The "enjoing-factor" is a LOT higher without them. So we DID enjoy ourselves. We had a peaceful lunch. I got to surf around on the vintage market and did some very cool findings. Like some wooden fabric stamps, that I will use to make art. The square one is 12 inch, so that is just perfect. Some vintage cards and loads of vintage books. I would have bought even more if Till hadn't gotten so cold and hungry and bored:)

This little "sanctuary" is just beside the busiest street of Amsterdam. A little piece of heaven.
And I had to show this typical dutch bike. A double decker child seat and basket with flowers in the front. Love it! I don't think you will find something like this anywhere else in the world.
..and this is not a great picture (it was VERY dark), but isn't that the steapest pair of stairs you have ever seen? The narrow, tall houses are very beautiful to look at, but not the most practical when it comes to living in them....
